So go jungle law ? Nice mindsetyea, right - go sue them, tiger, of course at the small claims court
most probably you will get your 30 euro back, and they will be happy to delete your account and get rid of you.

I'll continue to advocate for choice, rather than limitation of it.Nope.
Bruce said Horizons 4.0 is only for Horizons 3.8 players (so NOT for Odyssey players)
Sally confirmed that LEP owners are entitled to Horizons 3.8 and Odyssey.
So this is the official stance for the moment
(and anyone using workarounds to bypass the launcher to get access to other products might be in blatant breach of Eula, more specifically sections 3b, 3c, 3e or 3f and/or a combination of those.)
Odyssey owners aren't getting "free" or "additional" entitlement by requesting access to Horizons 4.0 - much rather, they are self-limiting access to additional content they've already paid for.
I actually own a copy of ED on Epic Games, and I've never played itNope.
As Bruce was pointing out, you cannot buy Horizons 4.0.
So under no circumstances you can say "i've already payed for it"
You (and I, 3 times already)* have payed for Horizons 3.8 and then for Odyssey.
While i'm in no way objecting for us, Odyssey owners, getting access to Horizons 4.0, FDev made it clear we're not getting it (at least this is the current status, which status may change in the future)
( actually only twice, the epic account, horizons enabled, was free)
It's all hypothetical anyway. It is very unlikely that anyone will be banned for launching H4.0. But Frontier has every right to tell people they aren't allowed to launch H4.0. As long as only a start parameter is involved I would say there is not much they could (remember, hypothetically) do against it, but if they remove that option and you find another way things might be different (again, hypothetically). Until then there is not much point in threatening Frontier to boycott them and it would be a strange thing to do anyway, if someone sucks so much that I boycott them I surely wouldn't play their game (hypothetically). So go jungle law ? Nice mindset![]()
Sure. That's a great perspective... Hypothetically. It's all hypothetical anyway. It is very unlikely that anyone will be banned for launching H4.0. If my significant other wanted to play a game with me I would... well... just buy it for her?Sure. That's a great perspective... Hypothetically.
Until you realize you're trying to also play with your significant other who only has Horizons (which Odyssey owners can't do), and with the way they're handling VR with Odyssey leaves a bad taste in your mouth regarding upgrading their copy.
If you're not convinced of the quality of the product because you've experienced it, why would you buy it again? If my significant other wanted to play a game with me I would... well... just buy it for her?
Tomorrow morning I'll buy her lillies. I am pretty sure they'll cost more than Odyssey.
If I wouldn't like the product I would play something else.If you're not convinced of the quality of the product because you've experienced it, why would you buy it again?
Good on you.If I wouldn't like the product I would play something else.
And if I only like the old version of the product I would play the old version of the product as long as it is available.
Kinda funny when Hor. 4.0 adds all the things ppl apparently don't like... but ppl must have it.It's always the EDH4.0 defenders who derail their own threads![]()
That appears to be the MO on every game related forum I've been on...Anything for an argument or just to throw muck at the game.
No need. They have banned a grand total of 0 Ody players who dared to commit the heinous crime of launching Hor4. Why would they have banned anyone? What harm can Ody players in Hor4 possibly do?
If you're not convinced of the quality of the product because you've experienced it, why would you buy it again?

It's been like this for years.
Actually I had already bought Horizons for them in the past.there is still time.
how long did it took them to punish the engineering exploit abusers 5 years ago?
anyway, hopefully it wont get there.
(There is also a chance they will not bother to punish the offenders as long the phenomenon is limited to a very very low number of commanders and no one is reporting the offenders. However, and this can be properly tested, if an EDO ganker starts to maul people in H40 and one of those people is reporting the said ganker that he should not be able to gank them in H40... the said ganker might take a week break from the game, if not longer)
if you're not convinced with the quality of the product... why you're using it?
So... you dont like FDev's stance on VR in Odyssey.
So you dont let your significant other to buy Odyssey nor you buy it for them?
While you want to play with your significant other, in Horizons 4.0, which is running the same engine you hate in Odyssey?
How is the conversation going?
- Wow, H40, looks really nice. I like it
- No! you dont want Odyseey, it's a bad product
- Is it? but i like H40, i'm sure i will like Odyssey too. Plus we can play together again
- No No, Odyssey is bad! We dont buy Odyssey for you.
Yeah it's really crazy that they want to get paid for their work. How dare they?Actually I had already bought Horizons for them in the past.
I had already upgraded to Odyssey, and found the lack of support for VR... lacking.
As I don't have an alternative to using a subpar client (3.8) for playing together, the only alternative is to use another account that doesn't own Odyssey.
I'm surprised to see all this defense to an indefensible position... forcing customers to upgrade to Odyssey in order to play with others instead of offering those who've already paid for Odyssey to be able to do so with Horizons customers, or shoehorning them into an older client without upgrades? Is this really the "argument", here?
Oh, and for the record, I've personally never "badmouthed" Horizons 3.8- so I'm not sure what (or who) that reference is for recently. And if anything I've sung praise regarding the updates to graphics and UI for Odyssey, my only distaste is the fact that you're stuck in a fake-cinema box in VR for ANY of the foot content, which was sort of the whole selling point of Odyssey to begin with.
Yep, it's really crazy that I had already purchased Odyssey. Your point is, exactly what?Yeah it's really crazy that they want to get paid for their work. How dare they?
