Thank you for your apologetic words, unfortunately I fear the only thing that will quell this 'hot bed' of anticipation is another sneak peak. You owe it to us. To the traders, out there jumping from system to system preying their arrival station isn't over 100,000ls away. To the smugglers, that want to smash whatever respective controller they're using when they get scanned and fined. To the miners..........Sorry, not really a mining type of guy. To the pirates.........these guys need a hug or something, they've got anger issues. And all other CMDR's out there, trying to earn an honest credit or 2,000,000.

SNEAK PEAK please

Thanks for the update! Those issues definitely sound like things that need to be addressed before a beta build is released. This only saddens me because I'm on holiday break this week and have Wednesday through Sunday to do absolutely nothing (meaning not doing school work). And I go back to classes starting Monday! Lol. But I'm looking forward to the release.

Well, that's alright. Luckily I didn't know it was releasing so soon until a few days ago, so I'm not suffering too hard :D

So the retail release of Horizons this Christmas is very unlikely. Not mean to say I dont have faith in FD, but if beta has to be delayd, meeting the final release deadline is very tall order. There will be tons of problems that were not seen once people start exploring deep space, I am sure.

Is the approach from supercruise down to ground truly seamless? If so, will there be improvements to the current supercruise transitions also?

You don't understand. The beta will be shorter, that's all. It will still be released for Christmas.

I wonder this too: what exactly they mean by "seamless" because the current supercruise/normal transition isn't really that seamless

Take your time fix this. Thanks a lot David and the team for your hard work and dedication to bring us the best :)

How does that logic work?

They have found problems they are fixing, therefore it is going to be in a more completed state come the release of Beta.

The transition from supercruise to orbital cruise is seamless - you just see the altimeter and flight ladder appear. When you drop from orbital cruise to normal flight there is a short transition, as with dropping from supercruise.

I'm working to crazy deadlines as well - but I "only" have directors to make happy. Poor Frontier has a bunch of fans - you have my sympathies FD crew!

Wishing you all the best <o
