Following up on my previous post, the team are still working very hard indeed. We are not ready to go live with the beta today as we have already indicated was likely. We are very sorry about this, but it is not yet ready for a proper beta test because of some blocking issues. I will keep everyone posted over the next few days, and will check in on this thread from time to time for the next hour today, and will post more details here on those issues for those that are interested. We are confident in the Monday 30th date as we already have the key components to fix the issues we are seeing.

Once again, we are very sorry, and we thank you all for your support.

RIGHT ON CMDR!

I hope the testing time won't be compressed too much and that a decently tested product gets released in December or whenever.

We do not mind, keep up the sneak peeks though :).

It seems that the guys and gals at FD are going to work over the weekend again, maybe we can plan another round of Pizzas.

It's alright David, take your time and do it right. But if you can't fix everything don't worry about it some issues can wait till official release :p Good luck

Ouch! Another crunch weekend for the developers! I feel for them!

Would love to know the problems, just curious as it is interesting to see what sort of issues games development bumps into (as someone who does hobby coding!) and how they are sorted. :D

That means MOAR SNICK PICKS ! Yess ! :)

FDEVs, preserve your health in this crunch phase. Your sanity is more precious than our enjoyement. :)

Delaying until next week is a good plan. It takes the pressure off the developers a little (not that they'll stop working hard) and avoids silly mistakes creeping in while trying to push to release.
