Hi

New to this game can someone please explain what is the difference between Elite Dangerous Horizon beta and Elite Dangerous Horizon. Apart from the $US15 price.

The Beta version comes with access to the... beta. Basically you'll be in the group that gets early access and the chance to give feedback before the release version goes live.

And the ability to do some of the testing for Frontier find the bugs, give your opinion on gameplay etc. It's also a completely separate galaxy so you can try weird and wonderful things. They make everything dirt cheap so you can buy and test all the new stuff and it won't matter what you do because when it finishes it will disappear into the ether and your original game save is still there.

Thanks guys it sounds great I'm definitely going to get this and hopefully buy in at the lifetime pass level.

Nice info confirming what I thougt. Bought the lifetime pass few days ago after researching the long term plans for the game overall. The vision is immense and I'd like to support it. Assuming all future content is equal or better quality than the base ED game I think it'll create a game that breaks all records for longevity.

With a thriving universe full of extreme details including planet-side exploration / hunting / (hopefully player constructionat some point!?) this thing will probably go for decades being the go-to alternate universe for people to relax and have fun.
