Hardware & Technical hotas 4 reverse throttle

hi all, I am new to ED, played the original many years ago..... anyway tried playing mouse and board and got various parts of my body handed to me. so I purchased the Hotas 4, been great. Have it set up as the default and all is fine except I have never been able to reverse throttle no matter what I try. I can find an option allowing me to toggle or hold a button but no reference to what button it is or where to map it. I feel I could have bought a corvette with the amount of time I have wasted trying different things. I am clearly missing something. Help please

You choose the button.
= click on the empty box for the toggle and then push the button you want to use - if that button is assigned to some other function, the game warns you and you can back out of the selection

I think you you'll find the throttle much easier if you set it to full-range so that you go backwards when you pull it back and forwards when you push it forward. It might take a short while to get used to landing with zero throttle. You might want to increase the dead-zone a bit so that you can find the zero more easily.

Flight throttle -> throttle axis -> regular/ full range should make the center detent 0, so you can reverse just by puling back.
You can even separate throttle and fore/aft thrusters.
I use the former for most flight latter for landing.
