Hotas one yaw twitch

I managed to get the hotas one back in November and have been enjoying it since, but recently it has developed a twitch on the left yaw. This comes and goes during a session, and adjusting the deadzone seems to makes no difference.
Anyone else experiencing this? If so is there a fix or will I need to contact thrust master?
Has there been any change with this. Anyone know if Thrustmaster had addressed this apparent constant issue? I've gone thru 2 Hotas Ones. First lasted long enough to go past the "one" year service for the States and the second started doing this just 3 months after purchase. Refund or replacement, this still should be fixed and not have us consumers going thru this.

Your lucky yours lasted a year. Alot of people lasts about a month before it craps out.

To answer your question no the hotas is still garbage and we don't have any alternatives. You've only got 3 options.
1 Keep buying/refunding them
2 attempt a DIY fix
3 consider getting an elite controller. (I'd recommend elite version 2)

Got my lad a Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X - absolute piece of poop - lasted a few months, then crapped out. I opted for a DIY fix when FS2020 came out to try and get it working. Using tin foil (not on my head), small bit of wood and duct tape, managed to get it working (although broke a couple of wires due to the family motto of 'Brute Force and Ignorance') - not noticing the missing fire buttons in FS2020 either.

I'll never buy another Thrustmaster-anything after this experience - it's like going back to the joysticks of the 80's.

Thanks for the reply. I actually forgot about the elite controller. I'm still curious if the series X will accept PC hotas peripherals?

That I couldn't say. Flight sims are such a niche market Its just not a priority. You'd think that fact at least would insentivise them to let us use any hotas like they do with webcams. Opening up the xbox to the free market in hotas peripherals would relive so much tension. If you aren't lucky enough to be one of the people who got a working model you could just buy from another company.

I do highly recommend the elite controller. You can buy a spare set of paddles on eBay for 1 or $2 and cut them with some bolt cutters to make them shorter, If you think they are too long.

Found this forum looking for a fix for the left yaw issue. I don't know if it's been addressed, but the fix is here: Source: https://imgur.com/gallery/ob06FmA
I just did it and it works for mine. Yaw problem solved with no parts needed. 10 minutes with a screwdriver.

I found this same DIY guide a few weeks ago and it came in very handy.

Had my Hotas One about 9 months and pretty much all the axis were twitching in one way or another.
After cracking it open, re-soldering all the twitchy pots and giving them a good clean with some contact cleaner all the the twitchiness has gone.

It still has a bit of left hand drift in the Yaw axis but I think that is more down to the dodgy design job inside that means the wires are constantly flexing.

the wiring in these things is so thin & flimsy

@CMDR D Noize - You'll find that if you take the handle apart to access the yaw pot and then give it a series of full stop to stop twists and put it all back together again it'll be fine, at least for a while. The issue is that it only gets to use less than 1/3 of it's potential travel when in operation.

All of the pots within the stick are the same and can be interchanged (if you can solder). I've done this with the pot for rocker on the back of the throttle, and the yaw pot and temporarily cured the issue that way too.

Yeah I’ve cracked that thing open and re-soldered quite a few of the connections.
The wiring is so thin & flimsy and it doesn’t help having a design that’s means a lot of the wires are constantly flexing.

And I also noticed the pots have a lot more range than the design of the joystick allows.
