How about some respect!?

Well, I finally purchased a carrier. It was that has have a bunch of credits sitting there gathering dust. The experience wasn't as mundane as I expected and it was kinda nice to own a heap of pixels.

Here's the thing though, I fly back to MY carrier and ask for docking permission. The crew treated me like a total stranger with a muted "welcome back Commander"! Is it too much to ask for some god-XXXm respect? Heads are going to roll if I ever find my way on the the bridge - stuck in the hanger for some reason ATM :)
You misunderstand the relationship - you don't OWN the FC, you're LEASING it. The 5BCr you gave them was just a security deposit. When looked at from that perspective, almost everything about FCs starts to make sense.

You pay 5B. After that you pay a nice upkeep, pay for every jump you make, pay for the tritium/ mine it for hours. AND you get to see your thrilling hangar. I don't understand your complaint to the crew treating you like a peasant as I am. What's there not to like?

I am sure it's a basic security measure. Someone could have murdered your commander and hijacked your ship. The crew still needs authorization for the ship to land, you can't just say "no, there's a reactor leak here, lockdown, everything is dangerous" and shoot the computer.

I'd like to fire my guy running the Tritium Depot. He's part of the Core cost - but doesn't do anything.
Doesn't even keep the Main Fuel Tank fed when asked, plus refuses to transfer any.

Hell I need to manually move all Tritium to a Cargo Hauler of mine and then manually feed it into the Main Fuel Tank myself. Ridiculous....

PS.
My "favorite" ATC Greeting when I'm returning to MY Carrier :
"Welcome to our Carrier, Commander. Please tell me if you'd like to dock."

At this point, I'm normally checking the Carrier Logs for any signs of a mutiny :p

Here's a little respect...

"R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Find out what it means to me
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Take care, TCB
Oh (sock it to me, sock it to me
Sock it to me, sock it to me)
A little respect (sock it to me, sock it to me
Sock it to me, sock it to me)"

Respect

that weekly fee also allows you to keep those muppets frying in close orbit around a burning sun. in a glorified tin can. in perpetuity. that should have some leverage ...
