How can I interact with other players?

Same boat as the OP. Looking for player interaction. I went to a bounty CG and it was fine. Joined my first wing and had a good time making alot of cash. My little Viper 4 isn't a very attractive target though.

Join a player group. That's one way to find players.

Find a group you are able to get on with. AKA one that has the same attitude, ideas or seriousness level.

Yeah, that is extremely lame. I mean you'd have to be a complete coward to do something like that.

But, like, what if someone DID do that a couple times because they um... got a little in over their head and freaked out or something? Can you get reported for that? What if they didn't know about the rules?

Asking for a friend...

Frontier have explicitly defined it as an exploit, so yes, your friend can be reported for it.

There's a good chance they will also be posted up on black-list somewhere away from these forums that informs other players that your friend is a cheat and for them to be treated as KoS.

If your friend gets in over their head, you should tell them that they need to learn how to high-wake out of trouble instead of cheating.

I assumed res farming would work the same as in solo, as in any players getting a hit in the last 20 seconds got the bounty even if you didn't finish the kill. After a quick google, it looks like you simply split the bounty among wingmates. From the sound of it, you still make money faster as you're able to wipe out ships at a faster rate. I'd assume for the CG, since you both got a bounty you'd both be contributing to the goal when you turn it in?

Bang on.

After another unfortunate dip into open CG bounty hunting, and having to accept destruction from seal clubbing griefers resulting in a 3mil+ rebuy and lost bounties, my friend has decided to join Mobius PVE group and avoid PVP altogether. I had hoped that being in a wing of 3 or 4 would deter such greifery, but I guess teaming up with several other noobs just makes for extra targets. Oh well, ya live and ya learn. Or in some cases, ya die and ya learn.

Thanks for all the responses, gave out reps for everyone :)

"Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space."

Elite illustrates this quite well, and it is possible to play for days, weeks, months or longer and never cross paths with another living soul.

OP. I play most nights for a couple of hours (UK time). I'll team up with you to do some haz res farming.

Drop me a friend invite if you want.

I guess that's one way to learn what people were telling you above. These guys that do that have "I win" ships. It wouldn't matter if there were ten of you in a wing. The result would be the same.
