Newcomer / Intro How can I join a group for in game coaching?

Hello Commanders,
I am a relatively new player and have struggled to learn the game on my own. I have done a lot of research on the internet and played solo to practice. I currently have an A rated Viper and A rated Cobra III. I just purchased an Asp Explorer which is totally Stock at this time. So while I have been "around the block" a bit, nearly all of my credits have been earned by transporting and a few by bounty kills. I remain ignorant of MANY aspects of this game and think if I could join a group (with patient players willing to do some In-Game coaching) it would help me advance far better than continuing to play solo. I bought the AspX because I want to have greater flexibility in my ship although I really like the Cobra.

I can play only a few nights per week and am based out of Russell Ring in Eravate where I store all my ships at this time. I live in the US in Eastern Time zone and can play on most Monday and Wednesdays.

If there are any groups (or individuals) out there willing to take on a Semi-Noob Cmdr. for the purpose of educating him then please send a reply with instructions to meet someplace near Eravate (eastern time). For example, what is meant by the bubble? And among MANY other simple things, how do I set the GalMap to show only fuel stars?. Doing such things IN_GAME would be a great help.

i would recommned watching some streamers live. There you can ask questions at what they are doing or even unrelated questions.

Garbage advice.

Talk to strangers, and start using multicrew looking for people with an open slot for mentoring.

I'll be opening up my Gunship whenever I'm playing on those days, no idea what my schedule is so I'll just say hope to see you sometime soon and maybe the stars will align.

If you want to see what is meant by the bubble turn on the powerplay map filter and scroll out to look at the full blob of colors. That's the bubble.

Using the star type filter, filter out everything except for O, B, A, G, F, K and M type stars. None of the others can be scooped.

If I happen to see you pop in next week I'll walk you through it if you still need it.

DLG has you covered, CMDR.

We're a small bunch of aimless scoundrels and ne'er-do-wells that just play casual and have fun.

Play in whatever mode you want, do whatever you want. We have no minor faction. There are no obligations, no salesman will visit your home.

The only rules are:

(1) No fighting/drama
(2) No combat logging

Some experienced, knowledgeable folks in there. Shoot me a PM if you want an invite to the discord and we'll be happy to help you out.
