How can you be Allied to all 3 superpowers?

Have you never been with three partners that hated each other at the same time?

If they all loved each other, that certainly would be fun!

How can you be "Allied" to both The Empire and The Federation? Even worse how can you be allied to all 3 superpowers? Being "friendly" to all 3 kinda makes sense, because you can still be neutral, but if you are allied to one faction, surely you are the enemy of the opposite faction....

I'm sure double agents can pull that off but that''s about it.

It's more about their diplomatic status towards you as an individual, rather than who you have allied with, the ranking for Fed or Empire is basically driving licences.

Its your reputation with the major powers.

Basically all 3 think you are very good at trading and mass murder, and would certainly consider you if the needed any help with goods, or mass murder.
