how do i add a profile picture...cheers guys

Upper right of the screen click on settings, then mid left screen click on change profile picture or change avatar. Avatar is probably what you're going for. You can add a sig the same way.

edit: the much more hidden thing about customizing your posts: go to settings, then click on "general settings" on the lower left, then scroll all the way down and look for "elite faction" or whatever, it gives you a watermark of the faction of your choosing on your post. Like this one, for example, has the alliance logo over there -->
