Newcomer / Intro How do I enter text chat mode when in cockpit?

Hi there,

I am in a group and can set up in group comms chat with my friend and I, plus in the main menu I can tyoe away in the text chat window.

In game there is a Comms window that appears top left hand side, but after trying various key combinations I couldnt access it to type a quick response to a question?

I have checked the Sidewinder manua and although there is extensive keyboard layout diagrams none seem to show what to press to get to comms chat and then start typing?

Do you have to go into left hand menu and contacts to start a chat?

Is there an option to bind a key to flick to that quickly?

Any pointers would be most useful!

The default key is 2 to focus on comms. You get a menu to select a target if there are valid comms targets. Press enter to enter text typing mode...

I think default key is '2' to enter comms.
with '1' being Navigation and '3' scanner, '4' pilot and ship info.
