How do I exit turret mode?

I can’t seem to exit turret mode. I’ve checked the mapping, the only mode switch that works is the one that brings up messages.

The other three don’t work, so I can’t exit turret mode. It only changes back when I get near the ship.

is this a bug?

The SRV turret controlls by default are the same ones you used to enter it ...
As stated If you messed with the controlls its what ever you set in the controll screen...

I didn’t mess with the controls. To enter it I had to go to the bottom focus menu (the screen where you look at your feet) and hit SRV and select ‘deploy’. Is that wrong? Thanks.

Thats not turret mode thats SRV driving mode... you do not enter turrent mode of the SRV with out pressing the command button...

To leave SRV you have to drive back to the ship and drive under the SRV bay once in the correct Location the boarding light. lights up...
Then you select the Commands menu and select Board ship...
