How do I find some Phosphorus?

I need some phosphorus as part of a Engineer's recipe. I have never did anything like this in a SRV.

Any advise on how to do this will be appreciated!

Get in your SRV on a planet and look for nodes.. phosphorus is quite a common material ;)

When you find one, shoot it, and you'll see some materials.. There are some guides around about this btw :)

Have a quick Google on how the wave scanner works, then you'll need to drive around, shoot some rocks, and collect some minerals (including phosphorus).

i found some mining in a Pristine Rocky ring, several other materials as well. I also got some in a Pristine Metallic ring, but it wasn't as much as the rocky ring.
You don't even need a refinery to mine for materials, just a mining laser and limpets. I'm not sure if prospector limpets help with materials.

You're best off on icy worlds for phosphorous and sulphur if you're looking for SRV refuels or whatever, I wasted a lot of time on the wrong planets and got myself quite frustrated - swimming in the stuff now

If it helps I found 7/8 phosphorus while doing an hour of ice mining in Eravate.. I think I found some in a pristine metalic too... although I can't quite remember.

Mining.

Really, I've got to the point where I toss Phosphorus, Sulfur and Carbon away because I've got too much of it.

I didn't get a chance to try ice mining, my Conda was killed before I could mine anything. It wil be interesting to see whether pristinity makes a difference with material spawn.

Phosphorus is everywhere on planet surfaces, because it is a part of SRV fuel synthesis. I got something like 20+ pieces of Phosphorus on the first, randomly picked nearest planet even before the 2.1 update.

I found phosphorus, selenium, iron, and carbon on Partii 2B near Cheravnosky City. I went to the wrong system after the Soontil Relics, which is in the Ngurii system.

Another thing that helps you find stuff is to stop at the USS's. Look for the Threat 0-1. It helps if you have some collector limpets because you can drop out of SC, extend your cargo scoop and send the drones after the stuff the cops leave behind after blasting the pirate to space dust.

I was farming materials at a RES last night. I found that I had to do enough damage to a ship to claim the bounty to get any materials dropped. Otherwise, if the cops did all the work, nothing was dropped at all.
.
Someone mentioned that you could camp in a CZ without declaring for a side and farm materials. This seems like an exploit to me.
