How do I find unique loot for missions?

So, I need to find 4 canisters of "Encrypted Data Storage (Unique)" from signal sources for a mission. I've been at it for 6 hours now. The reward is a commodity I need for my dirty drive tuning. I find tons of canisters of encrypted data storage, but none are labeled unique.

Should I call this one bugged?

Sound your discovery scanner or scan the beacon, this will give to the body the USS will be close to. Go there and wait for the "Mission objective discovered" message, that'll be your USS (the text will be blue).
