How do I record?

Hey! I've been playing Planet Coaster since as early as I possibly could and I've built some pretty sweet stuff and I want to show it off, however, I can't figure out how to film my gameplay so I can show you guys! What can I use to record?

Thanks!

Do you have an nvidia video card?

Fraps is good, but it hits a large amount of FPS, also unless it is the paid version you are limited to 30 seconds. I have the paid version of D3DGear and it has very little (hardly noticible) FPS hit. Usually all free versions have time limits and watermarks on the video. Make sure to read about all the limitations if you plan on using free versions.

Try AMD's Raptr it's free to download and works for AMD GPU's. Not sure about your AMD GPU though.

I have a Hauppauge HD PVR2, which I use for my Xbox 360 and Xbox One gameplays, and it can record my PC gameplays too. Not that with AMD Raptr, sometimes when you record videos with some games, it doesn't record properly and the end result when you try to play the recorded video, is just a black screen. Shadowplay I think is only for Nvidia GPU's. I wouldn't recommend getting free screen recorders etc as they may have low frame rate recording or be spamming you with ads/spyware etc and will not be as good as paid software/hardware capture material.

My PC has an AMD Radeon R9 390 which tonnes of sources on the web state is a High End GPU. It also has a 6th gen Intel Core i7-6700k quad core processor and 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz HyperX RAM and a Kingston Fury HyperX SSD. I have tried Fraps, didn't like it. I even think AMD's Raptr UI is cleaner than Fraps.

Hey Pipje2001 , i have a Nvidia video card , but can't find the trick to run "Shadowplay " ,cause the game is not recognized.....
So any help would be fine .
Thanks

Shadowplay is part of the Nvidia Experience, and any game that is not recognized can not be recorded. This goes for Planet Coaster, Theme Park Studio, and even RCT3 amongst others. I sent an email about this to nvidia with a list of some games that should be recognized, but never got an answer. What really surprised me is that RCT3 wasn't recognized since it came out in 2004. I can understand the newer games, but why not RCT3?

I've never had a problem recording anything with Shadowplay: Planet Coaster, RCT3, Microsoft FSX; all unrecognised games but all record perfectly.

Make sure you are signed into NVidia control panel though or it doesn't work properly. And make sure your drivers are up to date.

I've tried using it on unrecognized games while signed in and it would not work. Finally I got so angry that I uninstalled the experience software.
