How do i solve a "taupe cobra" error on the ps4.

I performed a complete reinstall overnight, then before starting this morning I disconnected from the internet, started the game up to get it to the title screen, then quit out, re-connected and got straight in for the first time since update.

Not sure if the little offline startup helped or if they've sorted more problems out regardless, but that's got me in now. Staying away from Store, engineers and mining for now, fingers crossed you can all get back on today or soon.

reply from their support Twitter account:

That suggests the game cannot contact the mission server, usually a local network quirk. Ensure no content filters are active in your router and no other online services are being used. If the problem persists send us a ticket: https://support.frontier.co.uk/topic.php

I've cleared cache, un/re-installed, rebooted modem/router, and factory reset my xbox, and the problem persists.

In total entering the game decided to transfer the port to port 5100, but now the next problem, when jumping into hyperspace, the ship it flies for about a minute and leaves again the same error. If after each jump to go back to the game, you can play until the developers do not fix)))

I managed to get in last night, but after checking out the new training sim I got kicked out on the way back in. Tried a million more times but never managed to get back in Black.

For those following this issue, here's what i received from FDev support re: my ticket:

Thank you for contacting us at Frontier, we are currently in a high traffic period meaning that we may take longer to get to individuals but rest assured that we will get back to everyone.

To provide some clarification on the issue you are seeing, the adjudication server is the in-game mission server.

Server data within Elite Dangerous is transmitted in large data packets opposed to the more common use of multiple packets with smaller amounts of data (seen in other applications) and if your network is not configured to handle these packets (or their fragments) you'll be disconnected with an adjudication server error or be unable to load a complete mission list.

As such can you please check your router settings to see if there are any filters in place, specifically those that mention UDP/packet filtering or fragmented data. Ensure that these are disabled and see if that makes a difference.

Finally due to the large size of packets utilised by the network can you also please try changing the MTU setting within your network to being exactly 1498! :)

The exact method for altering the settings within your router changes with the model but if you search for the model of router followed by “how to alter MTU” then you should be able to find information regarding how this setting functions!
