Newcomer / Intro How do I switch back to my destination?

Hallo. I am playng with an xbox. When i cycle through targets using the x + left button, how do I switch back to targetting my destination? The only means I found is through the system map or the navigation panel and re-locking the destination, but it is not very efficient...

If you have a route plotted, there is a key binding that will reselect your route destination. That won't help inside a System though. In that case, what you're doing is the only way there is, as far as I know.

No, it's useful whenever you do something in the system (visiting a station, planet base, nav beacon, etc.) You can then just press the "next system on route" and continue with your plotted route.
However, from your mention of the controls, I suppose you are on Xbox? I'm not sure you can bind the "Next system on route" on a controller. You'd have to ask in the Xbox section.

try targeting the next hostile target or highest threat - as there are none, it defaults back to your supercruise destination. On PC anyway.

That's right, if your destination is within your system, just don't target anything or untarget anything that's targeted. Often, your nav target won't appear until you're back in supercruise, so just engage your FSD, and it should appear as a destination target..
