How do you all think this type 10 build would survive in open?

500MJ shield, <2k armour, no speed, no manouverability. Anything looks at you wrong and you're dead. It's quite terrible even for PvE.
 
Quite effective in Res before 3.0.....

Interesting. What do the Super Conduits do for the Power Distributor ?

I think the next time OP gets interdicted, instead of an SLF he should pop an SRV.

That'll definitely confuse the hell out of the enemy and allow him to escape.

Says a lot more about the cmdr than the ship. There is zero reason to fear any NPC in a shieldless T9, even more ridiculous to fear an NPC in a shieldless T-10.

I'd go for fast charge FSD. Those G5 rolls seem amazing, 2.5 seconds? If you submit to the interdiction, you're golden. In theory. I just need some tellurium.

Imagine how p'd off he'd be after hunting for tellurium.

My first mod was at Farseer. I had virtually no mats, less knowledge of the game mechanics, and just rolled whatever she had available.

So my first mod was a shielded FSD that resulted in less jump range than I'd already had. Needless to say I was a touch disappointed :)

Ha ! ... one of my early mods was to take a FSD all the way up to grade 5 at Felicity, then choose a mod for strength :rolleyes:

I learned a lot that day.
 
Ok, so my big take away from this has been, at the least, an A grade shields and power plant. So i guess i will shelve the idea and experiment with it when i have enough cr to do that. Thank you all for taking the time to volunteer an opinion.
 
I mostly fly in open these days but thats either in a python or FDL with g5 engineered shields and g3 thrusters. So i feel confident enough in those since they are pretty quick and the FDL especially has a somewhat ridiculous shield MJ.
I can take down a deadly NPC corvette without the second ring of shields turning red.

I dont trust the type 10 since its slow and not very maneuverable, even though it has a fighter (which pop like grapes in my experience against them)
So i wanted some opinions, is this a good survivable trader build for open play?

He’s trading. He just has to submit and boost. Your numbers are more then adequate for PvE!
Submit, heatsink/chaff, then he’s gone.
Open is a crap shoot always.
 
Why a 7D shield instead of a biweave? They both have the same shield strength, but the biweave recharges a heck of a lot faster.
 
Weak slow recharge shields and flimsy hull. You would be toast in this build. Put a C8 biweave shield and increase the armor by 2x. Make sure you have enough MRPs (at least 2xC4).

Also turrets are currently bugged, so flying the T10 before they're patched is a very bad idea.
