I can't pinpoint when it happened, but there was an update where dinosaurs who get into territorial fights won't get any injuries whatsoever after that fight is over.
For starters, this is a MAJOR improvement over what it once was in the early months of the game. I recalled so many scenarios where a dinosaur would fight for Dominance, get injured, had to be tranquilized and transported to the medical facility for medication, and brought back, only for them to fight again almost immediately and get injured again. This was a huge time waster and made the process of medicating dinosaurs a very tedious task if they decide to fight for alpha.
Now when I have dinosaurs fight for alpha, be it triceratops, dracorex, nodosaurus, or pyroraptor, they settle their fight without harm, and it was a much better experience compared to how it was for sure, since I don't have to keep medicating dinosaurs after every single fight.
However, after a while, I did start to miss that element of harm between dinosaurs when fighting for the alpha positions. Even though it is a fight to be the new alpha, it is still a fight between animals and there is always a possibility of injury or even fatality between the combatants. There was an element of uncertainty when dinosaurs would fight for alpha, and I would get surprised to see a healthy and genetically strong member actually die from a territory fight. It was fun as it brings a level of disruption that the player has to overcome, that despite incubating healthy dinosaurs, there is a random chance something would go wrong, especially if it leads to an unprecedented fatality of a star attraction.
So instead of territorial fights always leading to injury or no injury at all, I was wondering if there could be a middle ground. Where 75% of the time the dinosaurs would be fine, but there is a small chance they could get a minor injury, a smaller chance of a major injury, or be very unlucky and die from the fight. That way if an injury were to occur, it would be a special event instead of an expected and often repetitive outcome. What do you guys think?
