How do you swap SRVs?

Now, i have bought two new Scorpion SRVs my hangar, then i flied to home.
There I wanted to have a Scarab and a Scorpion in this hangar, and place the other Scorpion in the hangar of another ship.
I choosed "replace", i had to buy a new Scarab (i've at least 6 in stored hangars) and the Scorpion i replaced seems disappeared.
Where it is? Have i donated it to the station when i bought the Scarab?

How do i swap Scarabs and Scorpions in my stored or installed hangars?

You outfit each ship with one of each at the place where you outfitted the first one. In that respect SRVs (and SLFs) are more like ammo than modules.

You can't swap them. You have to store the entire vehicle bay with them in it as you want them. Then you can swap the vehicle bays. Except good luck remembering which stored vehicle bay has what in it. It's the same with SLFs, too.

Never knew you could do this. Great tip for storing different SRV types on carriers to swap between.

That's how I do it yeah.

Need to be able to custom name modules for this and other reasons. I would definitely have code for every engineered module I had in storage so I did not need to go into each module to know what engineering level it had. Something like "G5 LR SP" right below the item name for G5 long range super penetrator.

Really? When I stored my hangar, my scorpions turned into scarabs.
