Decided to add a new shield cell banks yesterday to the one I already have since I needed a little more MJ to keep my shields in tough combats.
Went my merry way until I got into a few fight, trying to interdict a few logistic ships from Hudson. I noticed that I ran out of SCBs cells fairly quickly.
Upon my return trip, I set my SCBs to a fire group to monitor how many cells were remaining (I had been firing them using a button on my joystick). I then realized that when activating the trigger on my stick, both SCBs would fire. Damn! Not what I want, unless I'm missing something. I want to use the cells from one SCB and then switch to the other.
So, I set up additional fire groups but I'm not sure I like the setup. Of course, the first fire group primary is the weapons. My secondary was an advanced discovery scanner. But since it seems I have to put both SCBs on different fire groups, with the FSD, that's starting to be a bit messy to handle.
So, how do you effectively trigger your shield cell banks? Specially if you have multiple banks?
Thanks in advance!
