How does Universal Cartographics work?

I’ve been playing ED for around six months but have never really understood some of the mechanics of UC, if someone could enlighten me!

1) if I’ve spent days or weeks gathering scan data, when I return to a station why can I only sell one system?

2) what determines whether I can sell a particular system’s data? Is it once per station, faction, superpower, something else?

3) how does the game determine the payout for a particular system? It seems to be more than just the distance from the system as I’ve seen huge variations when selling at systems that are close together.

4) not sure if this is a glitch but soon after I started playing I scanned a system called “Page”, however it doesn’t show up on the galaxy map, eddb, etc. It would have been well inside the bubble as it was soon after I started playing and before I started venturing far. I’m not complaining as it regularly pays well, sometimes up to 1.5MCr! (but sometimes as low as a few thousand).

Thanks in advance!

1,2) The minimum distance is 20 LY. Any data closer than that can't be sold.
3) What you have scanned with FSS and what you have scanned with DSS (probes).
4) Page means up to 50 systems data sold at once

Doh, I just hadn’t twigged that’s what “Page” meant. I feel such a numpty now!

1) You... you can sell as many as you have. I tend to come back and dump like, 10 pages of stuff all at once.
2) No restrictions other than you have to be 20lys away from wherever that system is. Other than that, just sell it all to whoever.
3) Every body you scan has a rough value they go for. If you're the first to discover something, you get more for it. If you map it, you get more for it. If you map it within the probe limit, you get more for it. If you do all 3, you get the best value. There's an image someone made somewhere that shows all the values, but the site's not letting me upload my copy for some reason.

I got this picture from a reddit thread a while back I believe, but it was super handy for figuring out what to spend my time on mapping when I first started exploring
