HOW exactly does the Planet Coaster 2 Road map look?

The December update did a lot to fix some of the issues with the game, and it's a LOT more enjoyable already, but as we all know it only addressed a portion of them and there are still many other bugs and QoL issues remaining which I hope/assume will be fixed in coming sequential updates. To get the game in the state it should have been released in we need a few more monthly updates of the same ilk, a January Update, February Update etc that polishes the game and UI to a less beta feeling standard. Then the community will be happy and we can start embracing DLC.

It is important that they give us back everything that was missing from previous planet games such as restaurants, hotels, modular gift shops, vista points, snow etc quickly and integrated into the next updates. If they are held back for a year and then provided as the headline of a free update as if it's something new, that will be another slap in the face to everyone and the community will not be pleased.

I would like to see everything that already was working in PC1 will get fixed immediately.

Then they should fix issues of new content that came with PC2 and add some QoL...

Providing issue fixing only when they are offering a new dlc is a no go at this state of the game.

Afterwards they can start to offer free updates with new game content and or other fixes/tweaks together (simultaneously) with new dlcs. They're doing so in PZ in 3-(?) monthly intervals. I think that's a nice way...

Yeah I would also like a roadmap because at this point a lot of people are regretting their purchase and pre-orders seeing all the 'what?' decisions they make.

A roadmap could clear some confusion and maybe make people more optimistic, because the lack of communication and horrible choices they made (release DLC before fixing basic stuff and so on) really is NOT making people happy.

I think a roadmap would go a long way to help players chill and just enjoy the game. Even with the bad launch, the game is amazing. I think most of the frustrations come when a player encounters a bug, a missing feature they loved from PC or PZ and have no idea if or when they will get addressed.

A roadmap would indeed be great to have, but knowing Frontier, they won’t give us one, sadly.

I'd love for there to be a roadmap.

I think it would go a long way to calm all the anger and frustrations of the player base. It would make everyone feel involved and part of the games development.
I think a big reason there is so much anger and negativity towards Frontier and Planet Coaster 2 is that people feel like they're shouting into a void and are not being heard. If we knew what was in the pipeline, it would save people being totally mystified and annoyed why certain features are missing. That would save a lot of online hostility.

Prehistoric Kingdom have a roadmap. They also have monthly Dev Diaries. They also explain why features are missing or why certain things get delayed or swapped around. This transparency is fantastic and although its still in Early Access 2 years after launch, I've never regretting spending my money on it. You really feel like they want you to love and enjoy the game and you're part of the process.

So yes please, a roadmap would be lovely Frontier. We all want the best for this game.

I don't think we'll get that information or even just a brief set of bullet points without details. The thing is, it seems we've been a funny crowd who are hard to please. If a roadmap was released people will hold them to it as gospel written in stone.

They dont have to give exact details and promises. It can be more broad like 'rides' instead of a specific type of ride and 'pathing' or 'custom content' or something without giving specifics

They said they were trying to get slide physics in for the last update. They didnt fully manage it but because they were very vocal about exactly where they are with the physics, it wasnt a shock when thery didnt come and i didnt see a single complaint about it not being fully done.

That's true, and really nice to see the raft animation model as well. Very interesting. I remember that there was a few videos for behind the scenes Planet Zoo production which included music production and technical things like line of sight AI. I'd watch more of that!

I hope though that they would give us a heads up that they are working on new content even if they don't tell us what it is yet. And take feedback into consideration for ideas for new content like rides and theming.
