The Python's hardpoints and c7 distributor, especially engineered, can push enough firepower to kill any of those NPCs very quickly.
Don't fret. Even my exploration Anaconda can beat all NPC interdictions!

You'll have no problem in a Python then (or any other ship, tbh).
Wouldn't the most time efficient method be to submit, boost away and return to SC or Hi Wake to destination system?
Submit means the NPC will interdict again, killing or evading are more efficient unless the target loc is close IMHO
I like beating the NPC at the interdiction minigame, I imagine them sitting there in normal space shaking their fist at me whilst hurling inappropriate comments about my parentage
