How I would handle an Owen Grady DLC

While I can't say with 100% certainty that this will happen since I'm obviously not Frontier, it does feel like something that will inevitably come out given what we've previously gotten out of DLC. This is an idealized version of what such a DLC might look like, including features, dinosaurs and narrative elements I think would be appealing. If you disagree, cool. If you like my ideas, also cool.

Firstly, the reasons I think such a DLC may come out.

1. We've gotten 3 other character themed DLCs covering all major film cast members currently in the game including Dr. Wu and Claire Dearing in their own individual expansions, while Alan, Ellie, Ian and John Hammond were the primary cast of Return to Jurassic Park. Owen Grady is the only character from the films featured in game who has yet to have his own dedicated DLC.

2. Despite not being voiced by Chris Pratt in the vanilla game and with John Hammond obviously not being voiced by Attenborough, I don't believe there'd be any issue with Grady being voiced by his current VA in this DLC.

3. There are a number of features and narrative opportunities Owen Grady presents that fall more in line with the theme park aspects of Jurassic World as an animal trainer and behavior specialist.

Now onto features and narrative.

Story and Setting: As for where the story of this DLC will take place, I believe making use of the alternative soft-canon timeline JWE exists in would lend itself quite well to using The Lockwood Manor and Jurassic Park San Diego settings together for this dlc. Given the events of Claire's Sanctuary and the many key differences in how events played out it is highly unlikely that Benjamin Lockwood's death or the events of the Lockwood Breakout Incident in what I believe is northern California ever took place. So, my idea is that Benjamin being a wealthy individual and close confidant of John Hammond wishes to help to fund the first Mainland Park of Jurassic World in honor of John's legacy and ideals. That said, he's no fool and understands the potential dangers that could occur when introducing large extinct animals to a heavily populated city. It's not like animals haven't gotten out of pens from normal zoos and aquariums. Lockwood decides to first host a trial run on his own property. Owen Grady is put in charge of proving Dinosaurs can be safely kept on a mainland facility as the park's foremost dinosaur handler. After proving himself to Lockwood we skip to a few months later and Jurassic World San Diego is falling behind schedule in preparation for it's grand opening. Owen Grady is on site trying to get all the exhibits organized before the park is opened to the public. The park opens and things don't go quite as planned. Owen saves the day.

Big Features:

1. Mosa Aquarium. This would be the center piece of the DLC, the big, heavily requested feature that would take center stage. It would be similar to the Aviary and constructed in the middle of the 2nd act of the DLC.

2. Tricks / Spectacle. While I don't where this could be introduced narratively (perhaps during the Lockwood portions of the DLC) it would be a great way to boost small to medium carnivores in a way similar to how Paleobotany was used to enhance herbivores in Claire's Sanctuary. These would be new sets of behavior and animations that when done in the presence of guest line of sight increases the appeal of that particular dinosaur by small degree, with perhaps trick variety or guest emotional preference increasing it by certain degree. You could perhaps introduce different spectrum of behavior and tricks (Thrilling, Playful, Smart) via the use of an Advanced Hatchery with additional mod slots and new hatchery mods (we'll call them Training Pens for now) that increases how long the dinosaurs takes to hatch, but introduces new behaviors/animations based upon what particular Training Pen/s you've added to the hatchery for compatible dinos.

3. Guest preferences. One of the features from JPOG that could definitely benefit JWE if it were given a more polished iteration is guest preferences. Carnivore, Herbivore. Thrilled. Awed. Educated. This is of course my own limited idea for it, but having guests who favor particular types of dinosaur, maybe even going beyond the Carnivore, Herbivore and Pescivore distinction and using distinct dinosaur types like those used in Claire's DLC could make guest management more interesting and dynamic. Toilets were a step in the right direction, but we still need more.

New Dinosaurs:

This is my personal list of what I would add, but I'm open to other people's ideas as well. Maybe someone else will think up something I didn't.

1. Mosasaurus. While obviously not a dinosaur it is the star of the DLC and should be added.
2. Hypsilophodon. With the addition off Dryosarus, a new Hypsilophodontid classification similar to Iguanodontids should be added. Hypsos were featured in the Jurassic Park novel and are definitely a missed opportunity.
3. Psittacosaurus. A small ceratopsid that was featured on Jurassic Park the Ride and in Jurassic Park comics. Given the sheer amount of Ceratopsid dinosaurs in game already, many of which are only mildly different than Triceratops, a smaller, more distinct creature would be nice.
4. Dimorphodon. While again not a dinosaur, it would be the only missing creature featured in the films to not be included. Similar to how Return to Jurassic Park featured synergy with past DLCs (about a third of the dinosaurs you can use in Jurassic Era mode are from Dinosaur packs) I don't see why adding to the aviary feature would be out of the question. Serving as a less expensive, but less appealing alternative to the Pteranodon, it would allow for some degree of choice in how you balance expense vs reward.
5. Gigantoraptor. While it ultimately didn't feature in the movies, it's inclusion was planned. Such a unique creature would definitely be worth adding into the game, especially with it's similarities to the smaller, but more popular Oviraptor.

Smaller Features and Fixes:

Changes to current Dinosaurs

1. Add venom to Dilophosarus and Compsognathus. Dilos currently have a visual, ranged venom attack that is silly not to update. Compys were venomous in the Jurassic Park novels and this would allow them to realistically take down goats and humans, but not other dinosaurs.

2. Carnotaurus Camouflage Gene. Again another reference to the books that should definitely be added.

3. Green Cosmetic gene for the Carnotaurus. A Chameleon skin, reminiscent of its depiction in the novels and The Lost World: Jurassic Park arcade game should definitely be included as a Jurassic tier Challenge Mode reward.

4. Dreadnoughtus size adjustment. Simply not big enough.

5. Battle at Big Rock Allosaurus remodel.

Other features

1. More decorations.

2. Merging of Jurassic World and Park Eras for Sandbox mode. Let people mix and match to their hearts contents.

3. Janitors, Trash Cans and a Hygiene meter for the park boosted by Bathrooms, Trash Can / Recycling Access and number of Janitors working in the park.

4. Hot Air Balloon Tours, similar to JPOGs. It'd be very fitting for San Diego as well. It's one of those things you'll see often if you ever visit. I don't know why, but there always seemed to be Hot Air Balloons in our skies. San Diego native btw, until last year. There would be a circle beneath the balloon for visibility, maybe with a smaller, internal ring of non-visibility.

Bug Fixes.

Floppy/Spazzy Dinosaur Arms, Legs, Tails, Etc.

Guests Fleeing INTO enclosures during a dinosaur breakout. Away from the cage and the dinosaur would be preferable.

Transport Copters failing to transport dinosaurs because of that weird stretch glitch the cables do sometimes.

Cosmetic Genes being mislabeled.

Personally, nowadays, whenever I think of a big Owen Grady focused DLC, I see it being associated with the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion film.

The only reason why is because he's a main hero cast character in the JW trilogy saga. Claire Dearing is another one of those main hero cast characters. She has a focused DLC of her own, using elements from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to make its own story. So why not do the same with Owen, but with elements from Dominion this time, since he has the same general status as Claire to do something similar? I guarantee there will be more stuff for 2021 when the film releases, so there you have it.

This means I personally believe the other Jurassic World related stuff you wish for would be for something else, regardless if any of them will be for this year or next year.

I love this idea and I've been waiting patiently for the aquatic reptiles to appear, and so has every other fan. So I really do hope that they add the Mosaurus

I think the star dinosaur should be a velociraptor wouldn't that make more sense, maybe the mosasaurus could be one big thing but he really focuses on raptors

If you were to make a big dlc I would do it about the mosaurus and pteranodons I would do it about simon masrani and maybe it was set in a time when he was starting the park or something before the I-Rex

Since they added in pteranodons in the jurassic park dlc I believe they would add in the mosasaurus in most likely the next dlc which I'm guessing would be after the dominion film
