How is this right

I am not the fastest pilot so I decided to be a Trader. Its taken me a good month to finally amass a bit of cash and a decent ship. Today after many weeks of grinding I managed to get to 350k in the bank, I know thats not a lot for some but for me it is, only to loose 200k of it in one attack, gone. So now I have to start again, and probably will have the same experience soon enough, how is that fair. Does the same thing happen everytime a bounty hunter is destroyed or an under world package carrier.

Somebody please explain how the this can be a level playing field for the different types of employment.

Are you saying that you think traders have a harder time earning and keeping money than bounty hunters or pirates?

You're right it's not a level playing field but not how you think - I've spent 95% of my game bounty hunting and 5% trading, the trading has got me 5x more money.

I am not saying its not a level playing field, but to loose everything in one attack was really painfull. If one Bounty Hunter is destroyed, he looses only his ship, which he gets back from insurance , if I loose my cargo by interdiction, I loose basically all my money, because as a trader you are always trying to haul the Max Payload, there is no insurance back on that. If a Bounty Hunter is destroyed sure he might loose his Craft, but his insurance surely pays for that and after his failed attempt he has the same ship, and hasnt really lost a lot. My Cargo can sometimes be worth 200 000 credits at the moment, so loosing that is all I have and its back to the drawing board.
