How is this T10 build for out of the bubble (and DW2 mining CG) mining?

Haven't tried the new mining yet, but i enjoyed mining from time to time in the past. Had this T10 setup, and i'd like some build suggestions from people who already use it for mining in 3.3 . I 'll probably take it for the first CG in the upcoming DW2 expedition, and then come back and change into something else for the rest of the journey.

Not sure if i should include the sub surface missiles as many players don't get them, and not sure about how the mining lance is compared to the mining laser (havent mined since getting them). Also since we spend time fss while scooping, i hope the small scoop will be ok for the first part of the journey.

That's the current build

Looks good.

I see you put a mining lance in there. I'll assume that's a typo, as it were.

If you have mining laser, you can loose the lance I think. Medium mining laser is more than enough for mining and as far as I understand lance can also work as a weapon, but you have other tools for that.
Also you don't really need 2 abrasion blasters- one is enough - you can use the other small slot for sub-surface missiles, although to be fair if you would not take them you wouldn't miss much.
And remember to put seismic charge launcher in the bottom medium hardpoint- it's in the center which helps while aiming that thing.

As far as the rest of your build goes, I wouldn't bring that much shield weight, so you could add about 5ly to your range, but that's me.

TBF multiple abrasion = multiple chunks.

Do pirates spawn in faraway places out of the bubble in rings now? Otherwise I'd drop the beams, shield boosters/reinforcemenst and the point defenses and would go for a 5D shield and a Heat Sink instead (for those nasty close binary suns you are bound to encounter on the way).

really?? I haven't noticed this, but if that's the case then by all means, take two.

It's unconfimed if it's a bug or not, but as it stands, yes, you get one chunk per abrasion hit.

Since you/we also will have to sell the mined materials somewhere, it's probably a safe bet that malevolent NPCs might turn up - quite apart from the usual "content providers" should you choose to play in open.
Yes for losing the lance, but judging from a different thread, there should be a means of outfitting nearby (or so - if CMDR Erimus talks about "nearby", it's probably not a 4-figure distance), so you could fly out there with a real fuel scoop and swap out for the cargo bay later. Just make sure the outfitter will let you land, a T-10 might be a bit hampered here.
Otherwise, I'd consider a beefier hull - and unless you already have it lying around, why bother with lightweighting the sensors? 0.05 lightyears or so gain in jump range isn't worth collecting all the mats.

Thanks to all commanders for the help! I 'll lose the lance in favor of a second mining laser. Have reactive engineered armor on the ship right now, but will probably store it for the trip cause it makes a difference in the jump. Don't like constantly changing outfits on the ships, so i have the guns and shields to be prepared for everything. Plus it is fun immersion. And you do get chased by pirates when coming back to the bubble when mining.
