How low can you go?

This is definitely the closest to empty I've gotten...

Anyone got closer and lived to tell the tale?

That is pushing it. But you actually could go lower. As long as you have a fuel scoop or a station in the system.

lol ive run my asp down to about 1/8th of a tank, long fsd then did some shuttle runs locally before i bothered to fuel.It doesnt have a scoop.. can make 190 ly with 120 tons :p

That's certainly living life on the edge, very edge!! Especially whilst you're out in the black.

Did you want to see how far you could push it, or just took your eye off it for a (long) while?

Haha, I am the same a Whiterose, 50% and the sweat starts while out there.

You definitely ran your fuel lower that I would ever risk but as long as your survived, it was okay :)

Morning.....

You're both not alone with that, I think I'm starting to push it knowing I've got only 2/3 jumps left in the tank.

haha, was thinking of starting a post about this :)
I have a range of nearly 7 jumps of around 31 LY each and start worrying if my 5th was another non-scoopable :D
So I am happy to go to below 20% full, then I look for a fuel stop

I try and scoop at every opportunity rather than emptying the tank and doing one big scoop... as a result more than 4-5 jumps with unscoopables and I'll start actively looking for somewhere to pick up some gas...

I too scoop everywhere I can. I figure that with the FSD cooldown, honking and primary star scanning time I may as well be scooping at the same time. Yellowish and reddish TTs are the only non-scoopables that aren't obvious by looking at them (white TTs are smaller and different than scoopable white stars). Generally I head towards the star at 25% throttle. If I'm not scooping when the honk finishes then its a TT. They seem to be relatively cool too, so I haven't dropped doing this.

I normally scoop between a third and a quarter of a tank, went one jump further than normal and noticed that the fuel for the next jump was everything I had left. Checked I could scoop when I got there and thought, 'WTH, I've never seen it empty before :)'

I'm normally paranoid and top up at every opportunity but recently got carried away in a patch of Neutron Stars and couldn't work out why I couldn't jump 5 LY to the next one...luckily there were a couple of M class within range!
