Newcomer / Intro How many accounts can I have on a PC?

You can have as many accounts as you want. You just need a different e-mail address for each Frontier Account.
You can have multiple accounts on Steam - you just log out of one Steam account and log into another. You cannot "share" a copy of E D (family share?) - you do need a separate purchase and that links to your new Frontier Store account. (You need a Frontier account for any commander, that is what your in-game progress and assets are stored on but you obviously know that already.)
Good thing - your options are shared across all accounts (Store and Steam). Further good news - multiple steam copies use the same installation in the Steam Library.

Each Frontier account needs a unique e-mail, however GMail accounts can be used for more than one account by adding text to the "name" of the account after a "+" character, e.g. fred+text1@gmail.com and fred+text2@gmail.com will be treated as discrete e-mail accounts by the Frontier store - but e-mail to both will be received by fred@gmail.com
I have a few Frontier store accounts on a single GMail account in this way.
For playing each account, simply create a separate copy of the launcher for each, with a unique name, and log in to it - once logged in using the associated Frontier account there should be no need to do so again, just run that copy of the launcher to play as that specific CMDR.

Sorry to necro this thread but I wondered if all we have to do is to create a new Frontier Store account in order to be able to run a second Commander character? Thing is, in my Downloadable Content for my secong Store login, I have of course no downloadable content - so are we allowed to use the same licence to run two Commanders, then, or do I need to buy a second copy of ED:Horizons for that store login?
