its not really a vote about "likeing" or "not liking" VR tho...... there are loads, nay, 1000s of people I am sure who will like vr but do not have a DK2.

if you want to start a poll and thread about VR be my guest I will certainly post in it, but if the OP is interested in how many people CURRENLY own a VR device, he may not want people voting in this poll just because they happen to like VR or not.

nicely presented point, and to clarify id like voters that currently own a DK2/1 to vote. Should we need an idea that all or most vr users want the devs to implement we can say that we have x ammount dk2/1 users and create a poll that will hopefully match the ammount of dk1/2 users. This may help get some ideas at least talked about or further seen by the devs.

Sold my DK2 12 days ago decided i could wait for CV1 or Vive or whatever, re-attached my trusty Trackir and launched Elite:D (sigh, feelings of emptyness etc...) and logged out.
Thought I would get over it, then saw Valkyrie trailer too.
Next stop Ebay.
Back in my Rifty eagle by end of week :)) o7

I thought this poll was just a bit of fun for our own curiosity. I thought Frontier Developments would have a better idea of the number of VR users than us. Isn't this one of the things that would be included in a bug report?

There's a community request list, but it seems relatively ignored by the devs. I don't think this will change things much. Remember, we've already bought the game. The marketing guys are focusing on the vast majority of non-rift potential customers (that'd be my guess anyway)

I got my DK2 a few weeks ago from someone who bought and used it for 4 hours before deciding they hated it(due to insufficient PC horsepower, and motion sickness). Half of the contents were still in factory packaging. Since then I have been playing everything I can get my hands on, that is, until I convinced myself to pull the Trigger on E:D.... WOW, my life will never be the same again...

I can hop in game, and a few hours later take it off, with a surreal feeling, as I remember that I am actually in my house, sitting at my computer.... It is incredible.

I currently have mine set to shut off my monitors when it is in extended mode, to help with the graphics and juddering in game. So far, 10 hours logged without motion sickness... Voice Attack, with VAP Astra is super helpful when I can't see my keyboard.

I have one, but sometimes prefer monitor.
I tried playing it with a monitor after having used the DK2, I can not play like that. Everything seems so small and disconnected, even though exploring in the DK2 is a pain, because it is hard to make out distant planets, I still much prefer it to a monitor.

Does your bankai work in space?

I use my DK2 for exploring, rares runs, and of course pew pew pew. I use a flat screen when I'm just doing ordinary trading. I can't remember the last time I did any trading :)

I can sympathise with that, it can be a bit tedious wrestling the galaxy map in the Rift. We need bookmarks pretty urgently :)

I've never had any issues with my DK2 and using the galaxy map in ED. Everything is legible, the menus work, head tracking works and I can navigate it using my HOTAS. I'm not sure what the issue could be unless I'm overlooking something..?

I probably have a lot less time played in comparison to you guys, and I wholly agree... It gets frustrating.

When you're doing back and forth trading, it's possible to set the return route while the landing pad is rotating, when you're playing in a monitor- I really miss being able to do that in the Rift.. it seems really crude and slow. Hopefully bookmarks are just one of those weirdly neglected UI features that is "coming soon" :)

I'm too new to vote in the poll, but I got my DK2. Elite is amazing, and there's definitely presence, even with the relatively low-res DK2 screens.

I hate the galaxy and system map with a passion, and hate having to take the headset off to look stuff up on google... but the beauty and immersion makes up for that.

It's very weird when the pilot model moves its arms - feels like my own arms are moving - and while I don't get motion sick, I have made myself dizzy more than once in high-speed landings (which have fortunately led to no rapid unscheduled disassembly events yet!)
