I knew the day would come, storage is full, yet I do not have much I want to get rid of. So I begin this week to move a bulk of my modules out to other temporary ships again.
I am probably late to the party .. but how many of you out there reverting back to the same to cover the deficiencies?
I fear the same challenge coming soon for bookmarks .. but again .. what to get rid of when you don't want to get rid of any PoI.
Peace.
You don't give any details of what modules you have and why you have them. But here's how I use module storage these days, after hitting the limit before, as you have now.
I have several ships, each has a dedicated role. They keep their core modules at all times, but can be refitted from module storage for slightly differing sub-roles. One ship could have several different refit configurations. I have a crib sheet that I try to maintain, which shows me why a module is in storage. E.g - A 6E Passenger Cabin is there because it's part of Ship X's passenger build, and Ship X is configured for combat just now. Also, this crib sheet allows me to not duplicate modules. So if another ship in my fleet has use for a 6E Passenger Module in one of it's configurations, then they can both share that one, since both will not be in those configurations at the same time.
As a result of this approach, I have about 45 modules for 8 ships, that have between 0 and 4 different configurations.
I realise you may not want to go all 'book-keeper' on this, but I would at least suggest listing what you've got to weed out any module duplication.
I hope that helped you.
