Engineers How many rolls at each grade?

Just starting with the new engineering system and i want to know what the max number of rolls you need to do at each grade before you can progress.

Not the min, but the max.

From what i did see before i left the bubble is you don't need to max a previous grade to move up, but you do need to reach a certain level, and this can change the number of rolls requrired.

As i understand, grade 1 is always 1 roll before you can move onto 2.

2 seems to be 2 regardless, although you can do it in 1?

3 and 4 is where its fuzzy for me.

5 as i understand is 9-12 to max.

It is not always 1 for grade 1, when you have no rep it is more. Anyways, with full rep with every engineer I find it is safe for material gathering planning to do 1:1,2:2,3:3,4:5,5:9 I use Inara for this (when you pin a recipe you can choose how many rolls you plan to do at each level).

I have done hundreds of grade 5 rolls, best I have had was 6 rolls, worst was 13, average is 9.

I didn't keep stats but even with a 5 rep I found it varied by component.
Typically for me its been:
G1 = 1
G2 = 1 or 2
G3 2 or 3
G4 3 or 4 (usually 4)
G5 6 is best I've had. Usually 8 or 9. I recall a 12 but can't recall which component it was. I do recall being really cheesed off though! :mad:

Thanks very much. I have max rep with most engineers, so will go with your numbers.
