How much in the US?.

How much is this in the US as for UK for the standard Beta is £50 and just wanted to no if us in the UK are paying more as normal?. Not sure if the price is worth £50 either just to play it that bit early with bugs?. Should be cheaper the earlier you buy it not the other way round or even free if beta testing it..

About this much.

With alpha, and to a lesser extent beta you get to influence development. I admire Frontier's plan of making that expensive - it seems to be working rather well for the game's development.

Well go here.
https://store.zaonce.net/elite-dangerous-standard-beta.html/

In the upper right part of the screen (under the login button), you can change the currency.

The beta costs 75$ and gives you access to the regular beta and gamma development processes, as well as the retail game.

You actually save money if you are an american, since the beta costs 50 pounds which is about 84$ at the current conversion rate.

You also save money if you are in Europe, since you have to pay 60€ for the beta and the conversion from pounds is higher.

If you really have to ask the question, then the beta process is not for you man. You are essentially paying more money to support the game development AND test an unfinished game. A lot of people want to do that, since they can help make the retail game better. If you just want early access though, stay away until the game releases...it will have the full feature set and the whole planned player experience..;)

Or wait for the standard beta. I am positive most of the showstoppers will be taken out by then. Instead of getting earlier access, I purchased an x52 pro so I'll have something good to play the game on. The OP might consider doing the same. I'm betting standard beta is not that long away. 2-3 months.

i also advise you to add extra 35 pounds for all future expansions, so 85 pounds total :)

I will be buying it. Spent money on worse games X Rebirth which is still in Aplha never mind beta :p
As Dante80 said this is an unfinished game and this cannot be emphasised enough. There is a game there but it is very limited when compared to what is to come. I hope you enjoy the testing process as much as we do. :)

I'm with you on Rebirth. I bought a new GPU on the back of that monstrosity but it's all good because I knew that ED Alpha would be coming shortly and Rebirth was just to tide me over till it came out. :)
