How Rich is Your SLF Pilot?

My SLF Pilot is so rich, the last time we launched a fighter, she told me, "I'm going out to play -- you stay here and babysit my 'Conda."

(In a recent check, I noticed my SLF pilot had amassed about 339,000,000 Credits; I hired her when she was Competent. She's now Elite, while I'm still slogging my way through Dangerous -- something she reminds me of almost daily. I think she "earned" about 200M of her wealth either on inactive status or active on missions where she wasn't even called on to deploy a fighter. :laughing till I cry emoji:)

too rich! they shouldn't be paid full rate when none active. I don't mind paying a small fee for them to sit in a bar, but I only want to pay them full rate when active

Current pilot is the fourth one I've trained all the way from harmless to elite. In total wages have been in excess of 900 millions last I checked.

It was not long ago that I checked on my co-pilot and to say that at 96million for sitting around doing jack I was quite surprised to say the least.

You can imagine what I did next - dumped that pilot faster than a curry through the digestive system.

CS.

this is my third Elite pilot, and she made 400m.. the ones that came before her had about the same amount before i went crazy of the "we have a high value target cmdr"... im tempted to fire my current fighter aswell..

My SLF pilot could probably buy herself a fleet of Corvettes including staff, but yet she sticks with me. [heart]

Yeah, mine's earned +61m, nowhere near as high as some people out there but still, it's pretty insane considering she's mostly sitting in a station (though she does travel to every station ahead of me, the stalker...).

I don't have the heart to fire her 'cos of training her from Harmless, but also she's one of the best looking I've found...

It's funny when you read some of their dialogue; "Got into serious debt after I gambled everything away.", well I'm sure she's got the money to pay that back and leave now!

My girl's is to travel the Galaxy, and I've not left the Bubble... :D

How do these crewmembers not wanna return after being paid as much as they do?

I don't like the disposable "hire & fire", as I feel it detracts me further from the game, I wish they'd fix the way their system works.

This is brilliant, hahahaha!

My first SLF pilot was fired when I realised she'd pocketed Cr337m of my earnings for sitting on her butt.

After that, I went through a couple of "rentals" but then I had the bright idea of hiring an SLF pilot and building a ship specifically for them to fly.
It took a while to find a vaguely humanoid female of the lowest rank but eventually I hired one, trained her up, built her an FGS of her own and she's got north of half a billion credits too.
She's also been to Sag A and Beagle Point with me.

The most ridiculous part, however, is that I'm very protective of her so whenever I'm doing anything especially perilous I leave her behind and hire another "rental" to fly the SLF instead.

I let them burn. If only I could send collector limpets to pick up all the floating space credits...

So.
You get hired to do a job. Then your employer decides he doesn't need you so he sends you home. He says that he will pay you less. But won't fire you because he might need you later.

How would you like it? It's your job as an employer to employ people you hired. Or let them go.
