How to Cheat & hack in Elite Dangerous? EASY!

Bejesus, what's with CLogging again...
Just realise that this will never be an issue for FDev to care about, because... Elite is Not a PvP-centric game.
When you look at what David Braben said about the game in the beginning, MMO part was designed to be an... optional Co-Op experience.
(That's also why they reacted the way they did to DW2 griefing victims)

Hacking is more of a problem, because it can have more serious implications on BGS fex, but we know that those hacking tools are made obsolete with every patch, so they try to fight it, although that's probably a fight without an end.

Point there was that IF FDev dont care about THEIR OWN set standarts being broken & going as far as to BREAK THE RULES themselves for the designed gameplay.... we can't seriously expect them to do ANYTHING about the real cheats & hacks....

To me this is disgusting.... and even more so: a sign that the game is left to ROT away!

Hacking so far hasn't started a nuclear war. Then Jack Palance in City Slickers said, "The day ain't over yet".

Maybe our world's best hackers could give every player account 24 billion credits and unlimited materials.
Then one could say that the game is well balanced. :)

hehe now that would be something else , woudn't it!?

I have no clue as to why people so quickly forget what happened in the past, especially you Yamiks who has been around for a long time.

FD have dealt with the problem before, and they will deal with it again.

We had around 1 year without any well known working hacks. I think that is pretty good. It probably helps it is a bit of a niche game. Games like Fortnite have a much harder time of it due to their popularity, there are a lot more hackers willing to invest time in it to get hacks out there, and for games like Fortnite, people will pay a lot for working hacks.

FD have probably been gathering data, looking for a fix, gathering the names of people using it, and when they are ready, the ban wave will hit, people will lose their accounts, and the hack will be rendered useless.

Then, give it some time, and depending on how good FD made their fix, there will be another cheat made, and it will start up all over again. Another round of outrage (over hacks in an online game! Shock horror! FD must be such a bad company to allow people to cheat!), and the cycle will continue.

The most popular Elite: Dangerous Twitch streamers have maybe 250 viewers at any one time, and that's mainly the ladies in low-cut tops and hotpants. Fat ugly neckbeard Fortnight Twitchers can easily have 50K watching. "Niche" nails it.
