How to definitively solve the gankers problem

To definitively solve the problem of gankers it is sufficient that when a player is attacked in OPEN mode by another human player and the crimes report has not been deactivated, it immediately rushes a support team composed of 5-6 very powerful ships that attack the ship who began the offence

I'd prefer it if players had more of a genuine in-game reason to attack others. Just effectively banning it would make things dull.

But this is not solving the ganker problem you are using the wrong tool do most of player vs player aggression, that also is allowed, like piracy.

What about conflict zones?

What about powerplay?

I'd rather see the game generate targeted assassination style missions against those who have a known reputation for ganking and similar crimes. The idea would be to make it more part of the game rather than squash it out completely. So sure, hang around the starter systems blowing up noobs, just know eventually the rest of us are coming for you!

I still like the idea if a Ganker kills players in the galaxy map it paints a GPU Red Dot for all Bounty hunters to see.
I've suggested before that if your notoriety I high enough, CMDRs should be locked to open and show up on bounty boards and the galaxy map if they're scanned by any player or NPC security (even in supercruise).

But then hunting them needs to be worthwhile, without it becoming a money exploit.
Had the idea that only bounties from killing CMDRs can be claimed in large chunks, combined with bounties being locked to ship, it would make farming that very expensive for the "donor".
Or something along those lines.

We already have a beefed up bounty system that forces the other pilot to pay the rebuy of the pilot they killed if they are caught by security/bounty hunters.
alot of gankers have raged quit because of this so the game has already been improved for law and order.

Lets make it even easier

Just have a death star arrive in a micro-second (using ludicrous speed of course). The death star already being fully charged takes out the ganker, the commander and whole solar system. This way several problems are solved. You know gankers are like cockroaches if there is one there a lot more hiding in that system. Wiping out the the whole system 'KILLS EM ALL DEAD' and since there is no system anymore no ganker could possibly gank there any more. That sounds like a win win to me. I understand it may kill a few innocent traders, miners and such especially if it is in a system with a CG in it but you know this is war and war always has a bit of collateral damage. With the amounts of systems in the bubble it would take quite a few years before there were no more systems in bubble.

If we can't have carriers we should have a death star.

OP, did you know that the gankers have a good laugh when they read poorly-thought-out lame suggestions like this?

As one with slight carebear tendencies myself, even I roll my eyes when I read threads like this.

Pvp is part of the game
after all dangerous is dangerous.
said so if a player wing kills a CMDR more than two times in less than 24 h.
send a mail to the killed CMDR trying to rethink its pour pose and showing the wonders of our galaxy to desist in its Suicidal behavior showing him her the possibility to easily block a player so it won't have the chance to meet him her on this universe ever.

Excellent idea. I hear Frontier are planning to implement this - for high-security systems, anyway - in the 3.0 release of Beyond, sometime in Q1 2018. After that, you should be perfectly safe.

That would make piracy impossible.

I'm sorry, but I do not agree.
It would make sense to talk about piracy if a player has a way to engage in a protective escort. In reality, only an idiot would leave with a cargo ship full of goods around the galaxy at the mercy of anyone. What you call "piracy" is nothing more than exploiting a limit of the game.

Hello!

I play as a pirate, and with respect I don't think what you've said makes any sense at all. I play the game by the rules and don't exploit any limits of the game. What exactly are you on about?

How is interdicting and demanding cargo an exploit? all the tools for robbery exists even if its a bit blunt (weapons and hatch breaker limpets)

Simply that if I could pay for an escort you would not come to attack me. But since the game does not allow me to have an escort you can attack me without me doing anything. This more than doing the pirate seems to me to have fun doing pigeon shooting

What do you mean, attack you without doing anything?

I must first interdict you, then attempt hatch-break you or blow your hatch open, then scoop up your cargo. If you have an escort, I'll attempt to kill them. So you see, I'm having to do a lot to pirate you. I don't have autopilot or anything like that.
