How to find a station with a black market?

I don't see any indication in the system map - is there some way to see if a station has a black market without traveling to it?

Far away systems, anarchy or small trading posts. Be careful though, anarchy systems and all that.

Sometimes a station/outpost might list something that is generally illicit in the "Import" section, which will let you know it has a black market. This is not always the case, many stations/outpusts with black markets don't do this, but it's something you can keep an eye out for.

There are some rules for finding them, as posted above.

There *should* by system in place in the galaxy map to point them out or at least let you make notes about systems (which is currently missing). So at the moment it's pretty bare bones and you'll find yourself docking at multiple stations till you find a blackmarket. Have fun

Anarchy system + Outpost with pirate skull = Black Market (most of the time)

Yea, how come evertime I land at outpost with pirate skull they have no black market...

go to the system map and click on the station icons next to the planets and it will tell whats available at that station.

You'll find black markets at some independents too, rather than outright anarchies. Or at least, I certainly found some during gamma.

Even within governed systems, some stations (mostly outposts, I guess) are at anarchy. Black markets are very likely here. Even more, it is recommended to search outposts and not bigger stations, as outposts usually don't scan you for conterband. So, even if there is no black market, you are at least not in danger of being cought.

I got a kick out of asking a cop where the local pot shop was here in Colorado the other day, he laughed and said "down the street, second building on the left..don't forget your rolling papers and don't drive" lol

It says 'black market'?

Apologies, it does not! I was sure that it did, but its been so long since I used it that way.

As above, outposts, especially research outposts more often have a Black Market. Thats a good place to start.

Things tend not to be signposted, so get to know your own backyard and slowly increase your operations!

Good luck :)

(I'll redact my previous comment to avoid confusion)
