How to find your targets?

I'm a relatively new player (~200 hours of games) and I've had a problem since the beginning:
How to easily find mission targets?
I almost only do "Eliminate known person X" missions and I currently do it like this:
I accept all missions at my level.
From the map find the nearest system with query
I jump and scan.
If I find a signature in blue with my quest I go there and normally I find my target (or I get intercepted by it).
On the other hand, if I don't have a mission signature it gets a lot complicated.
I go to the navigation beacon and I have to scan all the ships!
2/3 I wouldn't find anyone...
I waste a lot of time just looking for my targets!
It's one of the things that made me stop the game several times (but each time I come back :p)
Is there an easier way to find my targets?
(Sorry Google trad)

Scan the navigation beacon itself (target it and point your ship at it, wait a few seconds). This will reveal all signal sources, including mission targets, in the system. Note: you need to be in supercruise to actually see them in your navigation panel.
This one.

The alternative is:
  • On entry, read the mission description, which should note the body the target is near. This only appears once you're in the system.
  • Optional: face the body if you know it exists already
  • Whip out the FSS
  • scan USS signals near the body

Far quicker to just scan the nav beacon.

So far pretty close to doing all right. When you go to beacon location, first scan the BEACON itself. It will reveal target in the system.

Scan the navigation beacon itself (target it and point your ship at it, wait a few seconds). This will reveal all signal sources, including mission targets, in the system. Note: you need to be in supercruise to actually see them in your navigation panel.

As above, when you drop out at the Nav Beacon the yellow circle you saw in supercruise will still be visible, but this serves no further purpose - to receive the system's info you need to select the lump of metal itself and point the ship at it (find it as a white blob on your radar or via the Contacts panel). You'll get a message after a few seconds saying the system info has been downloaded, and then once you go back into supercruise your Navigation panel should be full of information.
