I ran the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, and it uninstalled Windows.....

Thermal throttling comes with latest PCs architectures as a protection system and it cannot be prevented as far as I know.

Usually it can be prevented:

• replace the thermal paste
• get rid of the dust
• install a bigger CPU cooler
• get better airflow by installing / repositioning your case fans
• put your computer in the refrigerator

Unless you are playing on a laptop, which is why I always try to convince people that there isn't such a thing as a gaming laptop...
If you are skilled enough you could open it and do some of the things I mentioned above.
