How to get Datamined Wake Exceptions in 2019

Currently I'm in the process of gathering DWEs, after constant relog/refresh of Dav's Hope. Sine I don'r have any engineers except Felicity I have stock A-rated wake scanner, 4 km range, mounted on sligthly engineered Mamba (which is new ship for me). Went in Moebius mode to Shinrarta and while flying casually I scan all the wakes. Station mumbles something about stowing my weapons since it's no-fire zone but I just enjoy flying. Short scanner range isn't much a problem, Mamba is fast enough to get close. Within about half an hour (probably less) I got from 2 DWEs to 5. I get other scan data which I probably will trade for what I need.

On my off screen I have Youtube and clay sculpting tutorials. I'm no artist but it's nice to watch how skilled people turn brick of clay into head of full body sculpture.

Or just get a long-range scanner with up to 8 km range - lets you collect the data from a good distance instead of racing around to get in range all the time.

Yep, but where's the fun in that ? Boostkicking a ship over 700 m/s is not very practical elsewhere in PvE, but for this it's perfect and more fun than playing turret with a scanner mounted.

You can of course do both - have an engineered long-range scanner and boost around at 800 m/s. The iCourier is excellent for such things.
