How to Get Materials

So I'm look to get more materials; like arsenic, lead, tungsten, (the mineral/element items) I know how to get the ship items and stuff. But I'm looking for an easier way to get the stuff you typically have to mine with a SRV on a planet.

Other options are to visit one of the crashed Anacondas (see the thread in the Engineering forum), or find a planet with good materials and a biological signal source; if you land there you can harvest materials from the weird plants there. Aim to get the rarest materials and use Material Trader to get the rest.

The crashed Annies are a good source of various G5 elements which can be traded for others.

The Bug Killer site, for example, yields Ruthenium, Antimony and something else (Tellurium?), which can be traded equitably for anything else in those groups.

I have found all I have to do is drop into a suitable (i.e. the planet has those mats listed) biological or geological POI and farm from there. Normally two or three POI will provide sufficient mats for most requirements.

Is there a way to search for crashed anacondas and a biological Planet sites? On a website or something?

The easiest way to get *exactly* what you're looking for is to look for landable bodies with volcanism that list your high grade mats on their resource list.

DSS the bodies, go to the geo sites, and shoot Needle Crystals and Crystal Clusters to find exactly what you need.

Vardaugas beat me to it.

Really, the easiest way is to look for a planet with volcanism, do a detailed surface scan and then collect the crystals on the vents until you're satisfied.

I third the recommendation

I realised I had traded away all my Yttrium in error so found a pair of HMC worlds with volcanics

Not only do you get to enjoy lovely views but I have visited but 4 of 37 Geo sites and have obtained 45 Yttrium so far plus all the secondaries
