Newcomer / Intro How to: Land on a base in a conflict zone?

I picked up a delievery mission in the Delkar system, X number of Osmium, to Lavoie Synthetics, for some mats. It could not be more routine.
Except, a War broke out between the mining company and some peoples party while I was mining, and Lavoie Synthetics is one of the battlefields.

I've run some other missions of the company, I've even shot up some peoples party spacecraft. Which is really dumb in a type 8 btw, especially when they shoot back.
I've parked my ship less than 1K above the base, which is on the darkside of this moon. And I just can't get permission to land; and this fight is going on at least 3 days now.

So I'm just curious is there anyway to complete a mission to a base that has an ongoing conflict? Or is the player just out of luck here.

BTW this is another reason IMHO, players need a bank/cache, before we can afford a carrier. It would be great if I could just park this load for now.
I have enough space on the Type 8 to complete other missions, but just now its dead weight.

State changes will often stuff up missions. Sometime a faction will even leave a system. You'll have to wait the war out or hurry it along by helping the side you're doing missions for. One of my pet peeves is the mission system's inability to adapt to these changes.

Thanks Meta, I have been doing my lil bit to help the company, but it is good to know I'm not overlooking something that would be obvious in hindsight.
