How to pay off bounty in large ship

I got a bounty. It says I can pay it off in 2 ways:

1 - INterstellar contacts (they are normally using only up to medium landing pads, so out of question)
2 - Go to a system where they have presence.

I did number 2, went into a station where they offer missions so they certainly have presence, but no option to pay bounty off in contacts.

advice?

hey look a mamba. For those that didnt know thats from the original.

Afaik, some fines must be paid off the in the system you got them. Its a fiddly pita and i probably dont understand it right

Wash your hands.

But in all seriousness, you can find IF's at large station, as well as on planetary installations. Planetary installations always have large pads.

So no way to use option 2? Why even mention it in the bounty then. :(

Btw. going to a plenetary installtion is what got me the bounty in the first place I think. They didn't approve docking but said I was trespassing, and started shooting at me shortly after.

Assuming ZERO "Notoriety", large pad needed, in a system where the "Wanting Faction" shows no presence, but does have an "Interstellar Factors" facility is the ticket. -Warning- Docking at stations with an "Interstellar Factors" and the "Wanting Faction" also present is called "Surrendering" and will still get you sent to a "Detention Facility".

Make a point of knowing where your local best service facility is and bookmark it.

DON'T WORRY!!

I can help you.

You want a pirate port.

First off every pirate port does not care if you have a bounty. The station will not attack you so you don't have to sneak in.
They also always have an interstellar contact that can take care of your bounty.
I would use Eddb.io and locate an anarchy system with a large station near your current location.
Go there, dock, pay your bounty, and go about your buisness.

But I would like to suggest an alternative.
Don't pay it off. You can still dock at large stations. Just can't dock at anyone you are crapping on. Most independent systems won't bother you if you like to attack federal or empire or alliance ships. If you only attack a few independents then docking anywhere in that same space should be fine. And the money you save from not paying your bounty off you can buy a nice ship.

Talking absolute rubbish m8 does not work Ill put it down to the fact it was 2 years ago so they probably screwed with it since then.

There are plenty of large pad docks with Interstellar Factors. Docking without getting scanned is arguably easier now than 2 years ago too :)

If you are hostile to the station owning faction, that's a different issue & one that missions from a station they do not control comes in handy. Bounties work well for increasing rep, if sold at an IF in a system that faction isn't in they won't help the faction's influence either, which can be handy :)
