How to "provide credits worth of Combat Bonds" to Juri?

This might sound silly to all those of you that have unlocked Juri, but I just can't figure it out. Obviously something is wrong in my logic, but I can't figure it out.

The game instruction says:
"Provide at least 100,000 credits worth of Combat Bonds"
The wiki and Inara say:
"Provide 100,000 or 1,000,000 credits worth of combat bonds (the amount needed depends on currently unknown conditions)."
"Fox's Step-by-Step Guide to Unlocking Engineers Quickly" says:
Requirements:

-Earn More than 50 Combat Bonds

-Provide Juri with 100,000 - 1,000,000 Cr worth of Combat Bonds (it changes).

Juri's pretty straight forward. Find a system in a War or Civil War state on the Galaxy Map, go to a Conflict Zone, and size with a faction in the Functions tab in your System Panel. Fight with them until you've destroyed 50 enemy ships (You may need several trips to and from a station to do so), then save up 1,000,000 Cr worth of bonds. Head to the Giryak system and turn in the bonds to unlock Juri.

Which is exactly what I attempted to do:
- Found a nearby system that was in Civil War state
- (As an extra, I took a massacre mission to kill exactly 50 ships)
- I went to the CZ, sided with a faction and destroyed exactly 50 ships - as confirmed by the mission
- I turned in the mission, but not the 1.2M Cr worth of Combat bonds
- Went to Juri, but The Donate button is not available

So I went back to the station, and claimed the Combat Bonds.

I returned to Juri, but alas - no change! The button is still disabled.


So my humble question is: How exactly do I provide "credits worth of Combat Bonds" to Juri?
What am I missing here? What am I doing wrong?

Earning 50 bonds is the meeting requirement. It is an individual step. Once it is completed you can do the seconds step, the unlocking requirement, which is turning in 1,000,000 credits worth of bonds to Juri.

Turning in a mission for 50 kills is not the same as going to contacts and turning the 50 bonds in there, so while you had in fact destroyed 50 ships in a CZ, you never turned in the bonds to receive credit for it on Juri's 50 bond counter, hence an unavailable donate button. Now that you have gone back to the station and claimed the bonds, Juri should allow you to donate future bonds to him, which is your next step. When you returned to him, did you have unclaimed combat bonds available to turn in? It might be possible the donate button isn't working for you now because you have nothing to donate. If not, I would log out and back in to see if it resets. If that doesn't work, it might be time for a ticket.

What do you mean meeting requirement? I had 2 out of 3 checkboxes before this happened. This was not the first time I did CZ, so definitely not my first 50 bonds.
He invited me, I landed at his base, so I guess we met, no?

I'll give it a shot with another few bonds to see if I can donate.

Wait, what? What's a federation Bond? I was killing ships for a Federation-aligned faction!

For the latter, you definitely can turn them in on different trips, just like any engineer unlock that requires more than one of anything.

As for the former...do you even need to claim them, or simply to earn them? Look at your engineer's listing in the right-hand panel; if it shows progress for the unlock, then you got credit for those 30...

So I already have the invite, I just need to turn in the bonds... will do a trip now and see what happens.

EDIT: This was my status before taking the 50 ship massacre mission:

I was looking on Inara and it is called a meeting requirement there, maybe not the best term. Step one, he sends you an invite after you get to 3rd base with Felicity, step two is earning 50 combat bonds, and step three giving him a million worth. Not sure what's going on if you had 2 boxes checked already, at that point all it should take is turning in the million worth of bonds. I wasn't aware of El Hefe's comment that it requires Federation bonds, perhaps I got lucky on that and unknowingly met that requirement.

If you haven't already closed the game and started it back up again, I'd do that.

Yup,you needed to align with a fed faction in a CZ to get federation combat bonds. You may have actually done this without realising!

From the wiki;
"Earn more than 50 Federation combat bonds. You will eventually be invited to meet Juri Ishmaak."

From the pic you posted you actually have this done. You should just need the 100,000 credits worth of bonds for him now. Fed ones to be safe if i was you:)

The system where I got the Civil War bonds is not longer in that state (probably I had something to do with it, hehe).

So I went to another system in War state between two Federation aligned factions

I chose one, collected over 200,000 Cr Bonds and went back to Juri.

Again, the Donate button was still Disabled :mad:

I re-logged, and bingo, the button is available and it works!

So what I did was:
- system in WAR state between two Federation-aligned factions
- straight to the CZ, no mission, no local stations
- Join either side.
- Collect >100,000 CR Combat Bonds
- Go to Juri
- Relog
- Donate

So it seems that Juri will accept exactly 100,000 Cr worth of Federation Combat Bonds, but the remaining Bonds cannot be handed at his Contacts [blah]; they just linger in the transactions tab...

Well this is done for me, I wish good luck and great fun to all other commanders that have yet to unlock Juri!

Just FYI: I just accessed this engineer. Filtered the map for a Federation system at war, picked a side, got my 100k+ and went back. Donated and done.

Since I am on a PC and don't know about these things, is there some new Console Achievement award for resurrecting the most old posts in a given time?
