Out of curiosity, what kinds of prices are being offered for the commodities listed in the galnet article? Particularly interested in the rares. Enough to make caring about rares worth it?

Rares are fixed prices no matter were sold after you go beyond there required distance..

I know, just the language of the galnet post suggested it might not be the case and they might be worth more than usual. Oh well.

i can, btw., confirm that the rares did not sell for any extra - i brought some of those listed with us for RP, and sold before galnet went up.

It isn't, I was just kinda excited / let down by the thought of rare commodities actually being somehow relevant.

When Space Taxi becomes a thing next year we should be able to catch a lift there (and back) and get a ship transferred (if indeed there is a Shipyard!?). In fact Space Taxi is going to really help those of us who like to regularly change ships but without the hassle of FC or transfers.

Arrived earlier today with several thousand tonnes of alcohol, including 1,140 rare goods as I was able to grab them 60 at a time.

Selling that off, plus my excess of Tritium (2,500t) at a premium will more than cover this short jaunt.

"Pride of Wales" will be heading back to the bubble late tomorrow with shipyard/ outfitting if anybody needs a ride.

Rare goods no different than normal, around 28k/t profit.

Liquor is where its at, even buying from local FC's at max sell I'm making 42.5k/t profit.

Parking is filling up, expect travel distance of around 300-400ls from station. It might get better from tomorrow when new CG pulls a lot of us back to the bubble.

Great views on the way up here and potential for a bit of tritium selling too as you can't buy it and last mineable ring was a few hops back.

Re-couping the cost of the journey up here wasn't hard and it was worth it for the views.

Yeah I had one (FC), got bored of it after a month, the Tritium Benny Hill situation just turned me off the whole FC thing. That and a perceived utter non utility of an expensive asset.Happy to keep my tens of Billions, Modules and Fleet in a secure non upkeep location.
If i need to get to this location ill just get my Squadron to give me a lift

Tried one in beta testing when it could not hurt my credit balance. A 5 billion credit HUD that jumps, I currently have no use for it.

Have you tried the FC Owners Discord? I'm not headed back there myself but my alt is still at Rackham's so if you want to move your carrier back within reach I could help with fuel transfer.

Just arrived there with my carrier and started unloading. But it is quite time consuming to do this. Everytime I jump into Rackham's Peek I enter realspace around 30km away from the station and sometimes the only Medium Pad is occupied so I have to wait.
Additionally my FC is parked in a low Orbit around HIP 58832-1. That takes some additional time in supercruise to escape the gravity. :-|
This way it takes around 8-9 Minutes round trip time to unload 284t of Liquor in the Phyton.

In case anyone is interested in this selling Opportunity: I managed to move my Fleet Carrier in Orbit around the Mainstar. Now the time spend in Supercruise is realy short. I still get to enter the realspace around Rackham´s Peak with a distance of 30km. So pack some fast Thrusters. I Use G5 Dirty Drag Drives on my Python.
The roundtrip-time is now around 5 Minutes to load 284t at the FC, fly to Rackham´s Peak and return to the Carrier, earning 14,5Mio CR per Trip.
Unfortunately the only Medium Pad at the Station is occupied 30-40% of the time. In this case you spend another 1 to 2 Minutes waiting...

PS. don´t forget to scan the Satelite on the way in. It gives you free Enginieering Data...
