One of the most off-putting things a game can do is emblazon my damned name all over the place. It's supposed to be 30 mins of escapism. Clumsy, lame, awkward, and unnerving, in a neurotic kinda way.. why's it even necessary? Can i at least change it to my commander name, where it says "Welcome [name]!"
This is why people hate Starbucks.. i just want a half hour of speed-limited taxiing with nerfed yaw... what's my name got to do with anything? I only 'revealed' it in the course of buying the game from FD, and do not consent to it being used anywhere within the game or launcher, or forums, even if only i get to see it.
Even the accursed Steam client doesn't take liberties with real names..!
