how to resume flight path ?

When out exploring and you set a 900+ LY path for yourself and start jumping, how do you retarget your flight path after targeting other solar bodies in that system, EG if I target the sun for a detailed scan is there a quick way I can retarget my next destination system without going into the galaxy map?

There should be a control in the Options screen "Target the next system in a planned route" or something like that. If that's mapped, you can use that button/key.

you can bind a button to it, not sure if it has a default. It also appears in the system list on the left panel with a little symbol by it

Yes, there is a keybind in controls which is NEXT TARGET, I think? Can't remember what it is by default. But it re selects the next target in a plotted route.

There is a setting in the Controls menu for this. I cannot remember exactly what it's called right now, but I believe the default key push is "T", as that is what mine is set for.

So, after scanning bodies in a system, press "T", and the next system in your plotted route should be selected. :)

There are circumstances where the flight path will get lost, although I'm not totally sure what those are. I suspect it has to do with locking a target or system because I've had it happen a few times. End up having to replot the route again.

Anyone know what I mean?

There was some bugs with that problem when Horizons was launched, think they have been addressed now, has it happened recently?

If you target another system from the side panel, then yes your previous route will be lost..

This will be irrelevant once 2.1 adds waypoints (if they work properly), but what I've always tended to do is type out the destination star name in Notepad. Then, if you lose the route, you can paste it back into the Find System box.

The default key is 0. That's a ZERO not an OH.

I only know because I just looked it up like two days ago. I left mine on the default key.

If you look into the navigation panel, and scroll down the list, you will find one system has the 'plot' icon on its' line (three dots, two lines). If you click on this system, and then jump to it, the plotted route will re-engage.

I became overjoyed when I bound the command to one of my hotas buttons, how much better exploring systems became from such a simple click

Overjoyed
