Hey Cmdr's of the galaxy. I'm sitting here looking at a obelisk trying to get the pattern data . I have my data link scanner bound to my fire button #2. I target the active obelisk and for the life of me this damn thing does nothing.. If i go in turret mode the scanner doesn't even show up.what am i doing wrong?

PS: make sure you have the proper fire group selected. Yes I know it's silly.

This sometimes happens. Try binding it to button #1, see if it works. Then back to #2. check that after a relog.
Also make sure you are facing the obelisk 'flat on', ie perpendicular. If you are at a large oblique angle it won't scan.

There's a very narrow distance range over which it will work, because the obelisk center is above yours. It's much easier to get the elevation right if you switch to turret mode.
