config file edit or something ?
Thank You
Thank You
Hey,
i found this old thread but atm i want to do the following:
I want to set Frame Rate Limit to 65.
But not with Option 2, because Option 2 gives additional Input Lag like Option 3. Option 3 sure is best for Image Quality, but VSYNC is Input Lag too. I want to set Frame Rate Limit or "MAX FPS" to 65 in game itself because that gives me less Tearing than when i set it to 60 Hz in the Game Menu (like Option 1). But there i can only set to 60, 45, 30 Hz .... in Games like Rocket League or Overwatch you can adjust the Frame Rate Limit in game to whatever you want (i set 65).
So i think i need to edit the config file or .ini-file or something like that where it is saved ... does anybody know if this is possible?
Thanks!

I want to do this too. I want to keep v-sync off so that my monitor gsync can work. But I want to stop the game going over 100 FPS as this is the max refresh on my monitor. Otherwise when I’m in space the game will go over 100fps and cause tearing artefacts. I can only set the game FPS Limit to 90Hz or 120Hz. 90Hz works fine with no artefacts but it would be nice to get the full 100Hz that my monitor can deliver.
Since this seems to be necro season I'll just add one little titbit for people to consider regarding frame rates in E D at the moment:
If you have v-sync on (or any frame rate limiting) then the scanning process in FSS of bodies with any GEO features is prolonged. This scanning process is very significantly faster with v-sync off.
This has the added advantage of my exploration account keeping my toes all toasty as v-sync off causes my GPU card fan to come on.![]()

Is this true even if you have the vsync enabled in the drivers and NOT in the game itself? ..................
Is this true even if you have the vsync enabled in the drivers and NOT in the game itself? Just asking out of idle curiousity, many games that have problems like this with the game's vsync can have the problem circumvented by instead enabling vsync only in the driver software itself.
I don't actually have vsync on for ED, pretty much not in any game I play, but these sorts of topics interest me.
